Sea Cider Farm and Cider House Wedding

The Sea Cider farm and Cider House wedding venue in Victoria BC and was so perfect for Fiona and Aaron’s fuss free and laid back summer wedding. A couple of weeks before their wedding these two decided maybe they should hire a photographer and I am so glad that they did because I loved this wedding. After a short session at the beach it was on to the ceremony and visiting with their family and friends at Sea Cider which was really the most important part for these two. Their day would not have been complete without their very best friend standing up with them and their fur-baby looked so smart in his bow tie and he wasn’t about to miss anything! It was a beautiful friday afternoon and I am so happy that I got to capture these moments for them.

Thank You for capturing these wonderful moments for us. I especially love the one of Fi dancing with the girls and the one of Jim and Kaiden on the deck.

Point No Point Resort Elopement

The blog is back with a sweet elopement from Point No Point! Its January – the time of year when I finally have time to take pause, breathe, and reflect on the year that has passed. It was an incredibly busy one for us running a business and raising two babies. I am so proud of how much we have accomplished but juggling so many balls means one may drop and it appears to be the one labelled “blog regularly”. So yes I have missed all of you who have been so supportive of my posts in the past and so one of my resolutions is to blow away the cobwebs and find time through the busy-ness to spend some time here. I am liking looking back through the year’s weddings and figured I had better start at the beginning with the first one from 2013 which as it happens was the first one after having two babies and one that I shot solo. I first met Sarah a few years ago when we were both grad students attending a field school. I was struck right away by how genuinely sweet and kind she is. I was so excited when she got in touch to say she was getting married to Jeff and they wanted to elope and she wanted me to come and photograph. She wanted a place on the west coast that was quiet and romantic and perfect for eloping and of course that place is Point No Point Resort. I met them on a perfect May day where they said their vows before the sea spending some time along the beach before a forest walk. What a magical and incredibly romantic place and so beautiful a place elope. Thank you Sarah and Jeff so so much for letting me in on your little secret and letting me capture all the sweet quiet moments of your day.

love everything about these. That hug in amongst the trees, her hair blowing in the wind, the kiss in the forest… truly gorgeous. Hope they’re hanging up large on their walls.

I truly love and appreciate your photographs. They were done with class, splendid elegance, beautiful colors, peace, serenity, deep love, gorgeous couple, and the touch of angel all the way through.
Congratulation to the couple. Congratulation to Amy.
