The blog is back with a sweet elopement from Point No Point! Its January – the time of year when I finally have time to take pause, breathe, and reflect on the year that has passed. It was an incredibly busy one for us running a business and raising two babies. I am so proud of how much we have accomplished but juggling so many balls means one may drop and it appears to be the one labelled “blog regularly”. So yes I have missed all of you who have been so supportive of my posts in the past and so one of my resolutions is to blow away the cobwebs and find time through the busy-ness to spend some time here. I am liking looking back through the year’s weddings and figured I had better start at the beginning with the first one from 2013 which as it happens was the first one after having two babies and one that I shot solo. I first met Sarah a few years ago when we were both grad students attending a field school. I was struck right away by how genuinely sweet and kind she is. I was so excited when she got in touch to say she was getting married to Jeff and they wanted to elope and she wanted me to come and photograph. She wanted a place on the west coast that was quiet and romantic and perfect for eloping and of course that place is Point No Point Resort. I met them on a perfect May day where they said their vows before the sea spending some time along the beach before a forest walk. What a magical and incredibly romantic place and so beautiful a place elope. Thank you Sarah and Jeff so so much for letting me in on your little secret and letting me capture all the sweet quiet moments of your day.
