Jethro is a funny old boy, he tries to get into mischief like he used to, he trots to the beach looking forward to grasses to chew and smells to investigate. He is a bit slower, a little less agile, but still very curious and happy to be out with his Ben and Janell. We are so happy to have known Ben Janell and Jethro during their short time in Victoria. We met Janell when we spent the day waiting in line at the general admission gate for a U2 concert – let’s say it was a really long day. When they moved here, the first time we met Ben was when they offered to help us move into our house – honestly anyone who will help you move is a friend but when you haven’t met them before that is good people. A few weeks ago we followed these three down to the beach near there house for one of their last walks here before they made their move across the country. Jethro is nearly deaf so I am not sure what others in the park thought as they heard our raised voices as we tried to get his attention away from the grass he was eating or tree he was sniffing. Even though he is old and his joints are stiff he still gets around and it wasn’t until near the end of our walk that he finally got tired and sat for us for a bit. Since getting Honey, our own “chog” (child dog), we know she will one day be this old and we hope these images of Jethro out and about will be good reminders of their time here.

I love these pictures even more now than I did the first time I saw them. They are treasures we will have forever. We’re so fortunate to have artists for friends
I love when people have their pets in their photos…..such a personal feel. These are wonderful!!
